At the Fire Academy of the Tokyo fire service, a new talented recruit excels in the strict and exhausting rescue formation. With great competence in the physical and mental categories, Daigo Toake is envied by one of his peers, Shun Onoda. Despite an increasing feeling of rivalry, Shun recognizes that part of his jealousy stems from his admiration for Daigo, and that they will end up working together for the same noble goal of saving people.

At the same time, Yuki Nakamura is the only woman among the current lot of recruits. She believes that she will not be upgraded in this profession dominated by men. While the fate of the three beginners intertwines, they could soon realize that the intensity of a real disaster is far from what they have experienced in training. Even so, orange heroes always shine brighter than any fire, saving those who need it.
